Finally, Curvy Kate has done what other lingerie manufacturers have failed to do: design a strapless bra for the fuller-figured woman.
Luxe is a strapless, multiway bra and will be launched at the end of September and available from D to J cup. The bra has been rigorously tested and can hold weights up to 5kg, giving the curvier, fuller-figured woman the ‘uplift and confidence’, smaller women have enjoyed for years without the possibility or worry of ‘wardrobe malfunction’ which lesser quality strapless bras offer. Women with bigger busts are often forced to buy incorrectly-fitted bras which rely on bigger, wider the bra straps for support, when the support should come from the back band being fitted firmly to the body and as such a strapless bra should support you just as much as the strapped version. It shouldn’t matter which size you are.
Curvy Kate has been inundated with requests from clients for a good, strapless bra since the brand launched in 2009, so it decided to spend the last two years developing Luxe, which has been inspired by tuxedos, with a smooth cup bra, pin stripe band and feminine detailing and comes in colours of either soft biscotti or black, from 28-30 DJ, 32 D-HH, 34 D-H, 36 D-GG and 38 D-G. The matching briefs or thong start at size 8 and go up to size 20.
With the bra on sale from the end of next month, Curvy Kate has launched a competition to coincide. Share your motivations and those little things in life which give you a lift at #MyUltimateUplift or via the microsite myultimateuplift.com, and be in with a chance to win one for yourself! The brand are giving away one Luxe bra away a day right up until its official launch. For the unlucky ones, the Luxe bra will be available to buy through online stockists John Lewis, Debenhams Figleaves or Shop Direct.
